National Demonstration Sites

National Pathfinder Sites
Stoke-on-Trent PCT was awarded Pathfinder status for the West Midlands region. Led by local commissioners Stoke used its Pathfinder funding to develop a ‘Health Minds Network' providing quicker access to psychological therapies and integrating services provided by both statutory and third sector agencies. The ten sites across the country developed service models for different sections of the community and provide evidence of best practice. Year 1 sites 2008-9
Dudley, Shropshire County and Stoke-On-Trent Primary Care Trusts were the first in the West Midlands to receive funding to expand their talking therapy services.
Year 2 sites 2009-10
Birmingham East and North, Heart of Birmingham, South Birmingham, Coventry, Warwickshire, Solihull and Telford & Wrekin PCTs received funding to expand their talking therapy services.
Year 3 sites 2010-11
Herefordshire, North Staffordshire, Sandwell, South Staffordshire, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire PCTs will receive funding to expand their talking therapy services.
