In the drive to achieve a 20% reduction in suicides by the year 2010 (from the 1997 to 2000 baseline) a lot of work has been done by MH service providers and Primary care Trusts working closely with their local agencies and non-statutory organisaions that support the communities in which people live.

In 2008 -09 WMRDC has continued to supports Trusts, PCT's and other organisations in this work with a greater emphasis on strategies and action plans which include public health, mainstream services inlcuding non MH organisations.We will provide:
- Face to face local support to address local agreed issues. >>more

- An updated edition of the PCT-wide Suicide Prevention Audit Database that has now fixed some of the previous glitches and includes built in quireis >>more
- Continue supported roll out of the Activty and Outcomes Database with third sector organisations who are increasingly expected to work with, or provide, mainstream social care services and therefore require more secure funding streams and databsed management. >>more
