Embedding clinical audit at the heart of the quality agenda: a summit for the leaders of national clinical audits, 3 November 2009, London

Event location: London

Date: 3rd Nov 2009

The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) would like to invite the clinical lead and/or project manager of your national clinical audit or register to its annual national clinical audit summit: embedding clinical audit at the heart of the quality agenda.

HQIP is a charitable organisation led by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, the Royal College of Nursing and National Voices and funded by the Department of Health. Its purpose is to promote better healthcare by providing support and advice to those responsible for managing quality improvement work at the national and local levels, particularly through clinical audit and registers.

The summit is aimed at leaders of national clinical audits, both funded by HQIP and independently, and will offer a chance to address the challenges and opportunities they share and discuss how their audits can contribute to quality accounts, metrics and the quality agenda as a whole.

There will be mix of keynote speakers and interactive sessions, which will not only provide an opportunity to share good practice with those who work on a daily basis to improve health services but will also allow delegates to question and interact with those leading the development of the clinical audit strategy.

The summit is being held at The Royal College of Physicians in central London on Tuesday 3rd November 2009 from 9.00am - 4.15pm and includes refreshments and lunch. There is no cost to attend, however travel and other expenses are not included.

Please note that there are a limited number of places which will be allocated to national clinical leads or project national managers of national clinical audits and registers on a first come basis.
