16 January 2009 - Developing a Whole Systems Approach to delivering the Stroke Strategy in the East of England

The Department of Health, Eastern Region and the Strategic Health Authority for the East of England jointly hosted this conference.

The main aims of the event were to:

  • Ensure that all participants had a good awareness and understanding of the significance of stroke and the continuum of care,from prevention through acute, community and long term support
  • Consider the effectiveness of the current whole systems approach to supporting people with stroke in the eastern Region
  • Discuss how to improve the service and what actions need to be taken in the future to deliver the Stroke Strategy

The conference included opportunities to listen to experts, hear about different practice examples and to engage in networking and interactive discussion.
